The Story

It was Friday evening, Naveen got out early from office to go and meet his heroine,who is leaving India, in Hyderabad that weekend. After he has gone home, he suddenlyrealised that he has got another task that weekend to travel to a place 180 km awayfrom Hyd on some family work.. that too on a 2-wheeler.... tiresome.. at 2.30 on saturday he started from his place... on the busy and dangerous vijayawada highway...

..while he was on his way on the busiest highway.. he had to face the ruthless, rash driving skills of many of the heavy vehicle drivers. He had to get off the road many times to avoid a fatal accident. All this while.. he was going through the plethora of emotions by recollecting the moments he had spent with her.. It was a different kind of and difficult multi-tasking for him.. one that of physically going ahead towards his destination and the other one,that of going back in time mentally and thinking of all the happy moments they both spent together. He was also a little skeptical about his time and plan to go back to Hyderabad.. whether he can make it by tommorow morning so that he can spend some good time with her.. he was trying to reschedule some things.. all on the road. Although it was tiresome.. he enjoyed some beautiful roadside landscape sceneries and the greenery,at times, in chunks and pieces on both sides of the road. After riding for five and a half hours, he finally reached his destination at 8.00. He has some surprise waiting for him there..... What was the surprise?? Was he ecstatic or embarrassed by that surprise?? :))

The surprise was that his friends have arranged for a treat without even informing him. He was so embarrassed.. he started thinking what would happen to his plan. He wanted to show his discontent to that late night party. But after learning the fact that he doesn't have any way of going back to Hyderabad,neither a bus nor a train is available until midnight 12.00, he thought he can be a part of that treat and be ontime to Hyd if he takes a bus or train at 1.00 in the midnight. They all had some tasty food at a well-known food court around that place. But what next??? All of them thought they could spend some time watching a movie in a theatre near by. After all, now they have to pass the time until 1.00. They went to watch a Telugu film. It was a hit movie running housefull. Somehow they managed to get tickets in black!!! The movie started.. its a hilarious movie.. all of them were enjoying it..and Naveen is loving it as the movie has something which is common with him. He again slid in to her thoughts and started thinking about his itinerary. All of a sudden.. While the second half of the film was going on, he started hearing the famous song 'Hotel California' coming out loud that he can hear that even amidst all that theatre noise... he realised that it was the ringtone of his phone specially set for one of his good friends.. he got a phone call from a common friend of his and hers. Now... He is slightly nervous... What was the phone call about??? what did his friend say on phone?? Why was he nervous!??

He was nervous because the plan has changed without he knowing about it. She along with her parents are going to their village the next morning. But he was planning to go back to Hyderabad. His friend informed him that they would be reaching the village by 12.00 noon on Sunday. It was 12 in the midnight and he was in the theatre not knowing how to plan to go to village. He explained his situation to his friends. The friend who phoned Naveen is at a distance of just 1.5 hrs from now. And from there, the village is another 1.5 hrs. His friend invited him to his home to stay for the night and later start to the village in the morning. And in the theatre, his friends said that there is train at 1.15 in the night which he could take to reach his friend on the other side of the phone. He was relieved. Took a nice deep breathe. Watched the movie till the end which is when the clock ticked 1.00. He was happy and fortunate to learn that railway station is just 5 mins from that theatre. His friends dropped him at the theatre. Inquired about the next train to his friends place, bought the ticket, and chatted with him till the train arrived at platform no 2. They bid adieu to Naveen at the station when their friend took the train at 1.25, which was already 10 minutes late. In one and half hour from now i.e at around 3 a.m early in the morning he should reach his friends place. He was already feeling very sleepy, thanks to the heavy dinner. Forget having some place to have a nap in that general compartment, he did not even find a place to sit! All the passengers are happily sleeping in the place where they have to place their bums only!. Nobody can help it. He would have done the same thing. By some luck he got a place to sit where he encountered this man who was protecting his bag by staying awake! After a moment Naveen's eyes were shutting down even without his intervention! He was a little worried about his sleepy mood. He set two alarms in his phone, one at 2.45 and other at 2.50, in case he falls asleep. If he do not get down at his friends place, then he would be making a mess of his own plan. The train was moving slowly although it was an express train!. He fell asleep but he was still half-conscious. After 1 hour, his subconscious mind insisted that its time to check the time! He felt that it should be 2.45 and the first alarm should have triggered by now! He checked his time it was................ 2.48 but the alarm did not trigger. Alas! He saw that the time was right but not the date!! He was furious with himself for a moment.... laughed at himself thinking of his presence of mind.. hahahaa.... He was also very proud of his subconscious mind!!! hahahaa...
By now it was 2.50 and the second alarm also did not trigger!!! :)) . 10 minutes later he got down at his friends station. Got out .. phoned his friend telling him he is waiting for him. His friend was there in 10 mins and picked him up. Drove straight to home. It was 3.30 and Naveen was feeling dead sleepy! Just 5 hours to rest, he was thinking, after the long drive on a motor bike. He soon fell asleep but the target was to wake up at 8.00 in the morning. His friend woke him up at 8.00. He got ready, had breakfast and took his friends car and started to the village. It was a safe and smooth drive as he had ample time of 3 hrs for 1.5 hr journey. He reached the village at 11.45 a.m. Awaiting her arrival, he was roaming around searching for their car. Exactly at 12.00 noon, he could spot their car coming towards him! Happy and overjoyed, he went up to them to welcome her and her parents! And.... They spent the rest of the time together till evening and later started back to Hyderabad.
AND THEIR STORY HAD A HAPPY ENDING!!!
Now, you can and may ask me who "She" is, but i warn you!! some will be surprised and some get furious :)) by my response!!!
